Mother's Day Card Two

My Mother In Law just bought the Silhouette Cameo and she made this awesome flower pot card that I could not get out of my head.  So I decided to make a flower card for my mom.  I used Country Life for the flowers and vase and Elise for the paper colors. I added extra flowers from Prima and a plain ribbon. I made the banner from the left over scrap from the bottom card base.

Mother's Day Card One

I had two Mother's Day card to do and of course I waited until the last minute (like everything else).  The first one is for my Mother In Law.  I used the Imagine More cartridge.  I had all the shapes I wanted to cut and print on the Craft Room but it would not sync with my Imagine so I ended up doing it all on the Imagine.  The print paper was a scrap that I found when I was cleaning!! The only shape that is not from the Imagine is the Happy Mother's Day  Bubble.  That is actually Craft Room Basics and I used my Expression to cut that.

My husband asked me to make a baby book and card for a guy at work that just had a baby.  This was on Monday and he needed it by Wednesday!! Seriously!?! Usually it wouldn't be a problem but I knew that Tuesday we were going to spend the day in Pittsburgh.  Luckily while we were there he found out that the guy wouldn't be in until Thursday so I had an extra day. I made the card super simple so that I would have lots of time on the book and I tried to make it match too.

For both the book and the card I used Baby Steps and New Arrival.  The book is a chipboard book that I picked up at Michael's in the dollar bin.  All I had to do was cover it.  The front is from a page kit from Wal-Mart by ColorBok. I also used the same on the back cover too.

I erased the photo, name and info but this page I used paper from Simply fun by Reminisce. I believe the shapes are all from New Arrival.
For the three pages the paper is from Simply fun by Reminisce again and and shapes are from Baby Steps. I used Baby Steps a lot in this book.  The vine and banana stickers were embellishments that came with the paper stack. I think if I would have had a lot more time I could have more detail but I was really rushed at this point and wanted to make sure that I got it done.

Be Mine!!

This is another card that I will probably use for a teacher.  The bird is from 3 Birds on Parade as well as the hearts.  Instead of using the dots I used the Craft room to hide the eyes and used a Peachy Keen stamp for the eyes.  The background paper is Recollections that I got at Michaels. Ribbon is from the Dollar Store and the stamp is from Wal-mart.  Next I just have to conquer the treat bags for the girls to take to school!!! LOL..

Shaped Valentine

This is a shaped Valentine that I made using the Craft Room Basics.  The heart shapes and the lettering is all from Craft Room Basic.  The Lips are from package from K&Company from last years clearance. The ribbon is from Michaels.  The card is a smaller card.  I think I am going to use it for one of the girls teachers at the school.

A Cherry Hello

I ordered some stamps from Joann's last week and they finally came yesterday.  So, of course I had to make something with them.  I ordered Everyday Character Faces by Peachy Keen off of Joann.com.  I was SO excited.  I started Valentines but got distracted by this cherry shape that I cut out a couple of weeks ago.  I decided to stamp small faces on the cherries and colored in the eyes.  After that it was all about finding some cute paper.  The sentiment stamp is Veggie Puns from My Pink Stamper.

Notebook

Yesterday I decided to take out the Bind it All and see if I could figure it out.  I did finally figure it out while trying to make a book for my nephew.  He has to keep track of his blood sugar levels and if they are high he has to keep track of what he does to lower the number.  My first book turned out OK but I have learned some things that I will use when I try making the next one.

The cover is 5x6 and I cut the cover out of cereal boxes.  I did double the boxes up for the cover but the tabs in the book are just one piece.  I tried to make this very manly (if that is possible).  I think it is very hard to make something for teen boys.
On the tabs there are 6 of them I put Blood Sugar Logs that I printed from the internet.  I also added notebook paper in different sizes for him to write notes.  The inner tabs are a little smaller I think they are 4x6.  Again this was my 1st attempt at a book so I don't think it turned out too bad.  My sister picked up the book yesterday and I think she was really excited about it.  She brought my nephew's pages that Children's Hospital gave him to keep track of his numbers so I am going to mess around with those pages today to see if I can get them small enough to make some more books for him.
